Advocate Children’s Hospital – Oak Lawn is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join our neonatal and pediatric care teams. This full-time role features 36 hours per week, 3rd shift (7p–7a) with every-other weekend and holiday rotation.

The therapist will provide comprehensive respiratory care, operate ventilators, administer therapies, educate families, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team. Requires Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy and NBRC CRT, BLS, with additional

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Therapy.
• CRT NBRC certification to be obtained within 45 days.
• BLS for Healthcare Providers certification.
• ACLS/PALS/NRP/ACCS/NPS certifications may be required per department."

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive respiratory care.
• Operate ventilators and assist with procedures.
• Administer medications per physician order.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment.
• Educate patients in therapy purpose and self-care.
• Collaborate with departments to support patient care.
• Promote safety and report patient safety events.
