Job summary

Advocate Health’s Levine Children’s Hospital in Charlotte seeks an experienced RN for the Pediatric Progressive Care Unit on the 8th floor. The role focuses on coordinating patient care using the nursing process with a patient-to-nurse ratio around 3:1 for high‑acuity pediatric cases.

Night shifts 7 pm–7 am, three 12‑hour shifts per week, with two weekends per six‑week schedule and holiday rotation. Requires RN license, accredited nursing program, BLS; ACLS/PALS within 6 months; inpatient RN

Qualifications

• Completion of an accredited or approved nursing program.
• RN license issued by the state where practicing.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• ACLS and PALS required within 6 months of hire.
• At least 6 months of inpatient RN experience; 1 year preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide and coordinate comprehensive patient care using the nursing process.
• Strive for safe patient environments and best patient experiences across the care continuum.
