Job summary

Care for Kids in Houston is seeking qualified Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) or LVNs to support our pediatric urgent and primary care services. This role blends front desk duties with clinical tasks to ensure smooth clinic operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Pediatric Office, Pediatric Hospital, or Urgent Care within the past 3 years, minimum 6 months.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) with Texas license.
• BLS certification required (AHA).
• HIPAA/OSHA knowledge and EMR software experience.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients upon arrival and communicate with provider when ready.
• Document visits in the EMR system (eMDs).
• Assist the provider with procedures and patient care, including radiology and vaccines.
• Administer and document medications as directed by the provider.
