Job summary

Care for Kids is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our Houston clinics. The role blends front desk duties with hands-on clinical care, including triage, vaccines, phlebotomy, and radiology support.

Qualifications

• Pediatric experience in urgent or primary care preferred.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or LVN with Texas license required.
• BLS certification required; HIPAA/OSHA knowledge helpful.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients on arrival.
• Communicate with provider when ready and summarize symptoms/vitals.
• Document visits in eMDs EMR.
• Assist provider with procedures (splinting, vaccines, phlebotomy, radiology).
• Administer and document medications as directed.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms.
• Obtain lab samples and follow up on results.
• Provide patient education and address follow-up questions.
