Job summary

Care for Kids is seeking sharp and innovative Certified Medical Assistants (CMAs) or LVNs for our Houston offices to provide pediatric urgent and primary care with a patient‑centered approach. The role combines front desk responsibilities such as insurance verification and registration with clinical tasks including triage, radiology, vaccines, and phlebotomy, under the guidance of the on‑duty provider.

Qualifications

• Pediatric CMA or LVN certification and Texas license.
• BLS certification required.
• Experience in pediatric settings preferred.
• Knowledge of HIPAA/OSHA and CLIA-Waived Testing.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients upon arrival.
• Communicate with the provider when the patient is ready, summarizing symptoms and vitals.
• Document visits in the EMR (eMDs).
• Assist with procedures and patient care including radiology, vaccines, phlebotomy.
• Administer and document medications as directed.
• Prepare, clean, and maintain exam rooms.
• Handle front office tasks such as insurance verification and patient registration.
• Process payments and provide patient education.
• Support clinic operations as needed.
