Vogrinc Search Group is seeking a Phlebotomist for a contract role in Austin, TX. Schedule is Monday through Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an initial 3-month duration and potential for permanent placement.

Responsibilities include blood draws, labeling and handling specimens, centrifugation, recording maintenance data, and ensuring specimen integrity. Requires phlebotomy certification, 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital, and proficiency with Microsoft Office.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification as required in some states.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process to patients and demonstrates technique.
• Attends annual department trainings.
• Answer calls and communicate results as needed.
