Sora Resource Group is seeking a Phlebotomist in Austin, TX for a contract role with potential for permanent hire. Responsibilities include performing blood draws, labeling, centrifuging, and maintaining specimen integrity.

Formación

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' venipuncture experience in a fast-paced lab or hospital.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience.

Responsabilidades

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Explain clearly the venipuncture process and specimen collection as required.
• Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
• Match requisition forms to specimen tubes.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Check all requisitions against scripts to ensure accuracy; package specimens for transport.
• Store specimens at required temperatures and ensure transport integrity per protocols.
