Responsibilities include venipuncture, documenting maintenance data, following OSHA regulations, and participating in department trainings. Requires pediatric venipuncture experience and a valid phlebotomy certification.

Competenze

• Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
• Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Mansioni

• Experience doing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc.
• Collects and stores specimens according to established procedures.
• Properly explains the venipuncture process and other specimen collection methods to patients.
• Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
• Package specimens for transport and ensure proper storage and transport conditions.
• Attend annual department trainings and respond to inquiries.
