Job summary

Shriners Children’s – Spokane is seeking an Operating Room/PACU RN to join the Perioperative team. This role provides care in both the OR and PACU Phase I of a patient’s surgical experience, supporting surgeons and anesthesiologists during intraoperative care and ensuring asepsis per AORN guidelines.

No weekends, no nights, minimal call. BSN preferred. WA RN license, BLS and PALS required within 3 months of hire. Commitment to family-centered care and professional ethics is expected.

Qualifications

• RN license in WA required.
• BLS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• PALS certification required within 3 months of hire.
• BSN preferred or in progress to obtain BSN within five years from hire date.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in perioperative areas, including Operating Room and Phase I Recovery.
• Perform professional nursing services within ANA standards and nursing process.
• Support family-centered care philosophy of Shriners Children’s.
