Job summary

Shriners Children's Spokane is seeking an Operating Room/PACU RN to join the Perioperative team on a PRN basis. You will provide professional nursing care to pediatric patients in the OR and Phase I PACU, supporting surgeons and anesthesiologists as needed.

BSN preferred; WA RN license, BLS and PALS within 3 months, AORN certification a plus. The role emphasizes family-centered care, patient safety, and collaboration in a pediatric surgical setting, with no weekends, nights, or extensive call.

Qualifications

• BSN preferred or in-process BSN within five years of hire.
• Current WA RN license and BLS certification required.
• PALS within 3 months of hire; AORN certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care in OR and Phase I PACU for pediatric patients.
• Support surgeons and anesthesiologists during intraoperative care.
• Perform assessments, IV starts, airway management, and aseptic technique.
• Promote family-centered care and patient safety in a perioperative setting.
