Job summary

Shriners Children’s – Spokane is seeking an Operating Room/PACU RN to join the Perioperative team. This role provides care in the OR and PACU Phase I, supporting surgeons and anesthesiologists while upholding AORN standards for asepsis and infection control.

The position emphasizes pediatric perioperative nursing with a focus on teamwork, patient safety, and family-centered care. BSN preferred; WA RN license, BLS and PALS within 3 months of hire are required.

Qualifications

• RN licensed in Washington state and BSN preferred or in progress within five years of hire.
• BLS and PALS required within 3 months of hire.
• Experience in pediatric perioperative care is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in OR and PACU for pediatric patients using the nursing process.
• Support surgeons and anesthesiologists during intraoperative care.
• Maintain asepsis and infection control per AORN guidelines.
• Collaborate with family-centered care principles and team members.
