Job summary

Blue Cloud Pediatric Surgery Centers is seeking an RN to join our team on a PRN basis in Houston. You will provide postoperative and recovery room nursing care in a pediatric ambulatory surgery center environment, under general anesthesia.

The role requires current RN licensure, BLS, ACLS and PALS within 60 days of hire, and a caring, team-oriented approach in a fast-paced outpatient setting.

Qualifications

• Current State License to practice as a Registered Nurse.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Knowledge of the nursing process and its application (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation).
• Current BLS upon hire.
• ACLS and PALS within 60 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing care for the patient in the immediate postoperative/post anesthesia period.
• Assess and document patient status upon arrival in the recovery room.
• Provide nursing care to meet patient needs related to surgical condition and anesthesia.
• Monitor patient and inform dentist or anesthetist of observed complications.
