Job summary

Advocate Health in North Carolina is seeking a licensed Physical Therapist to join our team. You will assess patients, plan and implement therapy, and collaborate with care teams to achieve functional goals.

Work 40 hours/week, Mon-Fri, with occasional Saturday coverage. The role emphasizes accurate documentation, adherence to policies, and delivering high-quality care while supporting ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• B.S., M.S., or D.P.T degree from accredited physical therapy school.
• Current licensure in the state of applicable state
• CPR certification in Basic Life Support, Level C.

Responsibilities

• Adheres to hospital standards and policies, collaborates with team, and keeps informed about policy changes.
• Performs patient care assessments and treatments with a sound clinical judgment and realistic goals.
• Maintains accurate documentation of evaluations, progress notes, discharge notes, and education; records ICD-10 codes as appropriate.
• Ensures legible documentation.
• Meets department financial and productivity standards, and adjusts schedules to meet patient/department needs.
• Participates in process management to improve quality and efficiency, and communicates progress and barriers.
• Promotes professional development and education of other healthcare workers and shares clinical expertise.
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and staff to ensure understanding.
• Provides age/developmentally appropriate patient care; updates knowledge on growth and aging.
