True North Consultants, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist to join our early childhood team in Birmingham, AL.

You will evaluate, design, and deliver individualized OT services for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with developmental delays, sensory processing challenges, and motor skill deficits. You will work with educators, SLPs, PTs, and families to support functional movement, self-care, and participation in daycare activities through play-based therapy.

Qualifications

• Master’s or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE-accredited program.
• Active Alabama OT license or eligibility.
• NBCOT certification and CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in pediatric or early intervention preferred.

Responsabilités

• Evaluate and assess infants to preschoolers across sensory, motor, and self-care domains to set goals.
• Design care plans to improve daily classroom engagement and self-help skills.
• Execute targeted interventions focusing on fine motor, sensory processing, and motor planning.
• Educate and empower families and daycare staff on carryover strategies and environmental modifications.
• Maintain timely documentation including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with therapists and teachers to ensure integrated, family-centered care.
