Job summary

Job Juncture in Birmingham, AL seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist to evaluate, design and deliver OT services for infants to preschoolers, helping them develop motor, sensory, and self-care skills within daycare settings.

You will collaborate with educators, families, and therapists, maintain thorough documentation, and educate caregivers on sensory diets and environmental adaptations; this role involves play-based, evidence-informed interventions and direct family-centered care.

Qualifications

  • Masters or Doctorate in Occupational Therapy from ACOTE-accredited program.
  • Active (or eligible for) Alabama OT license.
  • NBCOT certification and CPR/BLS certification.
  • Strong organizational, time management, and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate & Assess: conduct developmentally appropriate assessments across sensory, motor, visual-motor, and self-care domains.
  • Design Care Plans: create evidence-based treatments to improve classroom engagement and self-care.
  • Execute Targeted Interventions: deliver play-based therapies focusing on fine motor, coordination, and sensory processing.
  • Educate & Empower: advise daycare staff and families on strategies for regulation and home carryover.
  • Maintain Documentation: complete evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
  • Collaborate: partner with teachers, SLPs, PTs, and parents for family-centered care.
