Job summary

H.T. Prof Executive Search seeks a compassionate Occupational Therapist for our Birmingham, AL early childhood team to evaluate, design, and deliver individualized OT services for infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with developmental and sensory needs.

You will collaborate with educators, families, SLPs, PTs, and COTAs to support motor, sensory, and self-care milestones through play, with thorough documentation and progress tracking.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctorate in OT from ACOTE-accredited program.
• Active Alabama OT license or eligibility.
• NBCOT certification and CPR/BLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate & Assess across sensory, fine/gross motor, visual-motor, and self-care domains.
• Design evidence-based treatment plans to improve daily classroom engagement, fine motor skills, and self-care.
• Execute targeted play-centered interventions to improve hand-eye coordination, motor planning, and sensory regulation.
• Educate and empower families and daycare staff on sensory diets, calming strategies, and home carryover.
• Maintain high-quality documentation including initial evaluations, daily treatment notes, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
• Collaborate with early childhood educators, SLPs, PTs, COTAs, and parents to ensure integrated, family-centered care.
