Qualifications

• 6 months of relevant experience in medical office, hospital, or insurance setting.
• Bachelor's degree may substitute for required experience.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Register patients accurately in EMR (Epic) and ensure patient information is up to date.
• Monitor patient flow and assist with scheduling to optimize the patient experience.
• Verify insurance coverage and determine financial responsibility; discuss payment plans as needed.
• Assist patients with access to government and community resources to improve access to care.
• Facilitate referrals to other providers/services per payor requirements and timelines.
• Update and maintain patient records and charges; ensure accuracy in billing data.
• Support clinic operations and help achieve site collection goals.
• Provide quality training to team members and participate in performance initiatives.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
