Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the Operating Room in a pediatric acute care hospital setting in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity offers self-scheduling and a pathway for professional growth in the OR.

The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of OR experience with pediatrics, hold an Ohio RN license, and have BSN or be pursuing it. BLS and ACLS are required, while PALS and CNOR are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN license required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• The OR Registered Nurse provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room, performs assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in implementing the plan of care and ensures continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
