Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking experienced Registered Nurses (RNs) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity lets you apply your passion for pediatric surgery and maintain patient safety in the operating room.

Ideal candidates have OR experience, an Ohio RN license, and a BSN in progress, with BLS and ACLS current; CNOR preferred. We offer weekly pay, flexible PRN scheduling, and comprehensive insurance options.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required; ACLS certification required; PALS preferred.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care to pediatric patients in the OR and perform pre/intraoperative assessments.
• Assist physicians in executing the plan of care and ensure patient safety during surgery.
• Ensure continuity of care between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
