Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN, self-scheduling role focuses on OR (Peds) and requires strong patient assessment and critical thinking to ensure safe surgical care.

Candidates should have a minimum 2 years of RN experience in OR (Peds), an Ohio RN license, and a BSN (in progress acceptable). ACLS/BLS certifications are required, with CNOR highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• The OR RN provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room, performs assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in the plan of care and ensures continuity between the patient care unit and the OR.
