Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care hospital in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN opportunity offers flexible scheduling and self-scheduling with a W2 employment arrangement.

Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of OR (Peds) nursing, an Ohio RN license, and a BSN degree (or in progress). ACLS and BLS are required; PALS is preferred and CNOR is highly preferred.

Qualifications

• Ohio RN license required
• BSN degree required or in progress
• Minimum 2-year RN OR (Peds) experience
• Pass background screening and onboarding requirements
• BLS certification required
• ACLS certification required
• PALS certification preferred
• CNOR highly preferred
• Prior pediatric OR, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus

Responsibilities

• The OR RN provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room, performing assessments and interventions to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in implementing the plan of care and ensures continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
