Job summary

Wise Medical Staffing is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) for the OR in a pediatric acute care setting in Dayton, Ohio. This PRN, self-scheduling role focuses on perioperative care for pediatric patients.

Requirements include 2+ years OR (Peds) experience, Ohio RN license, BSN in progress or degree, and BLS/ACLS; PALS preferred. CNOR highly preferred. Weekly pay and flexible scheduling are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-year RN experience in OR (Peds).
• Ohio RN License required.
• BSN degree required or in progress.
• Strong patient assessment and critical thinking skills.
• American Heart Association BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required.
• PALS certification preferred.
• Ability to pass background screening and onboarding requirements.
• CNOR highly preferred.
• Prior pediatric acute care, plastic reconstructive surgery and laser experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• The OR RN provides nursing care to pediatric patients in the operating room and performs assessments and interventions designed to keep patients safe during surgery.
• Assists the physician in accomplishing the plan of care for the patient and provides continuity between the patient care unit and the Operating Room.
