Qualifications

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Minimum of two to three years in progressively complex administrative roles in a hospital, outpatient clinic or academic setting.
  • Typing and computer skills with Microsoft applications (Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Teams).
  • Strong organization skills and ability to prioritize work independently.

Responsibilities

  • Oversees patient scheduling, registration and ambulatory workflows for pediatric patients and caregivers.
  • Greet patients and support registration functions including referrals and appointment scheduling.
  • Ensure high quality customer service during patient outreach via phone and electronic portals.
  • Document patient contact in medical records, manage communications and outreach to overdue patients.
  • Assist with scheduling visits and referrals, prior authorizations, and paperwork as needed.
