You will advocate for pediatric patients and coordinate discharge planning as needed, while maintaining strong family and vendor relations. The position emphasizes collaboration, leadership, and adherence to hospital bylaws, with a 0.5 FTE

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is required.
• Current, Ohio RN license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Candidates without a BSN must obtain the degree within 5 years of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and staff guidance under physician supervision.
• Precept and mentor new employees and clinical staff.
• Assess patients as required.
• Educate staff on clinically related issues.
• Participate in staff evaluations at 90 days and annually.
• Advocate for pediatric patients and interact with families, vendors and the public.
• Address physical, psychological, social, educational and safety needs of patients.
• Coordinate discharge planning and request/perform consultations as directed.
