Job summary

Cincinnati Children's is seeking a Patient Care Assistant for the Burnet Campus in Cincinnati, OH. This part-time role (0.2 FTE) supports 2-3 shift coverage with 8 weekly hours, under RN supervision for plan of care and routine care tasks.

Responsibilities include assisting with activities of daily living, maintaining patient safety, and performing administrative tasks. CPR training is required, and prior patient care experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with clinical rotation from ACEN/CCNE/NLN CNEA accredited institution; OR Ohio STNA registry or Ohio CNA; OR National EMS Registry; OR 1 year patient care experience; OR completion of Patient Care Assistant training after hire.
• Requires trained CPR and maintenance of certification. Internal timing varies by business need.

Responsibilities

• Plan of Care - Provide approved care of assigned patients and assist in implementation under supervision of RN; supervise and assist with activities of daily living.
• Communication - Demonstrates Cincinnati Children's CARES behaviors; report status; document in medical record; discuss concerns with Director.
• Environment - Maintain organized, safe, accessible, and efficient environment; adhere to infection control and safety policies.
