Job summary

Pediatric Associates Family of Companies seeks a friendly Medical Receptionist to greet patients and visitors, assist with check-in/check-out, and manage payments. You will verify insurance, collect co-pays, scan documents, and help with follow-up appointments while maintaining patient confidentiality and professional communication.

The role involves multi-site support with occasional travel to other offices, indoor work, and adherence to PPE and privacy policies.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in a medical office preferred.
• Active and valid driver’s license required upon hire.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to maintain patient confidentiality.
• Familiarity with insurance verification and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Check-in patients, update demographics and insurance, collect co-pays and balances, obtain consent forms, and complete health questionnaires.
• Check out patients with visit summaries, referrals, portal info, forms, and follow-up appointments.
• Verify insurance and contact patients if coverage or PCP is not active.
• Post charges, reconcile payments, and scan/upload documents.
• Sort and deliver mail and PA documents; maintain waiting area; attend staff meetings.
