Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant for outpatient/primary care. The role assists physicians and nurses, performs phlebotomy, injections, ECGs, and EMR documentation.

Requirements include a high school diploma and completion of a Medical Assistant program; CMA or RMA preferred but not required. Competitive pay from $19.00 to $28.50 hourly with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required with formal Medical Assistant program completed.
• Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program is required.
• CMA (AAMA) or RMA certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist Physicians and other staff in outpatient/primary care settings.
• Perform phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed.
• Administer injections and manage injections/skin testing as needed.
• Conduct ECGs and place Holter monitors when required.
• Document data in the Electronic Medical Record and support front-doffice tasks.
