Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking an LPN to join the Matthews clinic, supporting pediatrics and general care. The role requires nursing licensure, BLS certification, and completion of a Practical Nursing program.

The position is full-time, on-site, with a comprehensive benefits package. Responsibilities include patient preparation, procedures assistance, medication administration, IV therapy as permitted, and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license issued by the state where you practice and BLS for Healthcare Providers certification (AHA) within 45 days.
• Completion of an accredited Practical Nursing program.
• No experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and rooms the patient for exam by obtaining vitals and documenting health information.
• Assists the physician with procedures and basic surgeries.
• Administers medications under physician orders, including vaccines and insulin.
• Initiates and maintains IV therapy as appropriate.
• Performs lab procedures and specimen collection using aseptic technique.
• Maintains exam rooms, lab, and equipment; stocks supplies and ensures safety.
