Job summary

Advocate Health's Shelby Children’s Clinic in Kings Mountain, NC, is seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time role in pediatrics. You will prepare patients for exams, assist physicians with procedures, administer vaccines and medications, and support IV therapy under supervision.

The position requires strong communication and teamwork within a busy clinic. Qualifications include an LPN license, completion of an accredited nursing program, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to develop rapport with patients and staff.
• Proficient computer skills and EMR experience.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and room patients for exams, obtain vital signs and document health information.
• Assist physicians with procedures and surgeries as scope allows.
• Administer medications under orders, including vaccines and injections.
• Support IV therapy and fluid administration under supervision as applicable.
• Educate patients on tasks, treatments, and self-care following procedures.
• Maintain clean and stocked exam rooms and equipment; ensure proper infection control.
