Pediatric Associates Family of Companies is seeking a Front Office Float/Medical Assistant to greet patients and manage check-in/check-out processes. You will collect payments, provide information, and coordinate follow-up appointments.

The role requires at least 1 year in a medical office, strong communication, and proficient use of office software. Some travel between offices and remote/telework rotation may occur.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 1 year experience in a medical office setting preferred.
• Upon hire, and for the duration of the employment period, a driver’s license must be active and valid.
• Ability to learn & practice Pediatric Associate procedures, policies, and protocols.
• Requires proficient grammar, spelling, and verbal skills to communicate with patients, providers, and staff in written documents.
• Knowledge of computer and medical terminology desired.
• Interact effectively, support staff & maintain a professional working relationship.

Responsabilités

• Check-in patients upon arrival, updating demographics, insurance, PCP, pharmacy; collect co-pays and balances; collect consents and questionnaires.
• Check out patients, collect balances, provide visit summaries and referral information.
• Verify patient insurance through Batch Eligibility or on demand; contact patients if insurance is not active.
• Post-patient charges and payments; perform charge and payment reconciliation.
• Scan and upload documents through the Document Management system.
• Sort and deliver mail and PA documents; maintain a clean waiting area.
• Participate in staff and educational meetings.
