Job summary

Weisman Children's is seeking a Full-Time Outpatient Receptionist to support pediatric care. The role involves answering phones, greeting patients, collecting payments and documentation, and performing daily insurance verifications.

The position requires strong customer service, organization, and communication skills in a hospital setting, with a team-oriented environment and opportunities to grow within our pediatric rehabilitation network.

Qualifications

• Two years of experience in clerical/healthcare environment preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and patient’s families.

Responsibilities

• Answer telephone calls and transfer to appropriate destinations.
• Greet patients.
• Collect required documentation, copays, deductibles or payment of services prior to treatment and document transactions in EMR.
• Perform daily insurance verifications.
• Monitor entrances and exits of visitors, patients and families.
• Handle various clerical functions as assigned by Manager and/or Director.
• Thorough knowledge of facility policies and procedures as it relates to the above duties.
