Job summary

Weisman Children’s Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a Per Diem Inpatient Front Desk Receptionist to join our pediatric care team. The role focuses on greeting visitors, handling calls, coordinating transportation, and supporting administrative and clinical staff in a fast-paced hospital setting.

This position is not benefits eligible and offers per diem hours. You will contribute to a collaborative, patient-centered environment dedicated to excellence in pediatric rehabilitation.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Minimum of two years experience in a hospital or business environment.
• Articulate, tactful and able to deal with people in a pleasing, professional manner.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Possess good customer service skills.
• Computer literate.
• Must have good telephone skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Answer incoming telephone calls and forward to the appropriate destination.
• Monitor entrance/exit of visitors and maintain sign-in sheet.
• Schedule transportation for patient outings and family visits as requested.
• Maintain and distribute daily IP census.
• Perform clerical duties as assigned.
• Provide support to Administrative, Rehab and Nursing staff.
• Maintain awareness of management personnel presence.
• Maintain coffee station supplies for staff and visitors.
• Ensure familiarity with facility policies and safety policies.

Per Diem Inpatient Front Desk Receptionist - This position is not benefits eligible.

Position Summary

1. Answering incoming telephone calls and forwarding those calls to the appropriate destination.
2. Responsible for monitoring the entrance and exit of visitors, parents, families, vendors, etc and maintaining the sign‑in sheet.
3. Will schedule transportation for patient outings and family visits as requested.
4. Will maintain and distribute daily IP census.
5. Clerical duties as assigned.
6. Will provide support to Administrative, Rehab and Nursing staff.
7. Will maintain awareness of the presence of management personnel.
8. Maintaining coffee station supplies for staff and visitors.
9. Thorough knowledge of facility policies and procedures, including safety policies and procedures.
