Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking an experienced registered nurse to plan and provide direct professional nursing care for pediatric patients on the assigned shift, following standards of practice and CCMC policies. Qualifications

• ASN/ADN required at hire; BSN preferred; BSN must be obtained within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum 2 years pediatric RN experience.
• CT RN licensure (or multi-state Compact) and BLS; PALS within 6 months; Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional nursing care per standards.
• Caring for med-surg and ICU float assignments.
• Delegate duties and mentor staff.
• Complete documentation timely and communicate with care team.
• Educate patients and families on care and outcomes.
