Cincinnati Children's is seeking an experienced and adaptable Registered Nurse II, Ambulatory Float to provide high-quality nursing care across a broad range of ambulatory subspecialty clinics.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse license in the State of Ohio.
• 2 years nursing experience.
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN); BSN preferred.
• Demonstrated clinical nursing experience.
• Strong assessment, critical-thinking, communication, and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, high-quality nursing care across ambulatory clinics after orientation.
• Develop and maintain clinical competencies across multiple specialties.
• Adapt to different environments, workflows, and teams.
• Collaborate with nurses, providers, educators, and other staff.
• Perform patient assessments, administer medications, and support education.
• Use specialty resources and protocols when transitioning between areas.
• Recognize scope of practice and seek guidance when needed.
• Maintain competencies and engage in ongoing education.
• Communicate readiness, concerns, and support needs to leadership.
• Demonstrate professionalism when moving between settings.
• Contribute to consistent patient care across ambulatory locations.
