Job summary

Connecticut Children’s seeks an experienced registered nurse to provide direct professional nursing care for pediatric patients across med-surg and ICU float assignments. The role requires strong clinical skills, patient-family partnership, and adherence to CCMC standards.

The position supports critical pediatric care with responsibilities including documentation, teamwork, and ongoing professional development within a dynamic hospital float pool laterally across units.

Qualifications

• ASN/ADN RN license required; BSN within 3 years if ASN/ADN.
• Pediatric RN experience: minimum 2 years.
• Current CT RN license or NLC; BLS required; PALS within 6 months.
• Nonviolent Crisis Intervention training within 3 months.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional nursing care for assigned patients per shift.
• Care for med-surg and float assignments in ICUs.
• Document timely and communicate with the health care team.
• Partner with patients and families; educate per CCMC policies.
