Job summary

Connecticut Children’s is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide direct professional nursing care on a pediatric unit. You will work under supervision to deliver care across neonates to adolescents, following CCMC policies and standards, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

The role emphasizes family partnership, education, and adherence to certifications and state regulations. You will participate in leadership activities and ensure high-quality, compassionate care daily.

Qualifications

• ASN required upon hire; BSN preferred upon hire and required within 3 years of hire.
• Minimum 2 years pediatric and/or medical/surgical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct professional nursing care for specified patients throughout the episode of service delivery.
• Demonstrate knowledge of pediatric populations from neonate to adolescence and tailor care accordingly.
• Contribute to unit leadership; delegate duties and support productivity and resource management.
• Complete documentation in a timely manner according to policies; communicate with the health care team.
• Educate patients and families regarding care aspects; partner to evaluate outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
