Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical work in the outpatient setting.

You will assist physicians and staff under supervision, performing phlebotomy, injections, ECGs, and data entry in the EMR. The role emphasizes patient history, measurements, and intake activities, with emphasis on pediatric care, teamwork, and adherence to infection control protocols.

Competenze

• High school diploma required.
• Successful completion of a formal Medical Assistant program.
• 0–3 years of relevant clinical experience.
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred but not required.
• Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association.
• Some college, preferred.

Mansioni

• Performs phlebotomy and specimen processing as directed by the provider.
• Administers injections and various topical medications.
• Performs ECGs, places Holter monitors and downloads telemetry data.
• Documents data and changes in the Electronic Medical Record.
• Assists with scheduling patient visits and check-in/check-out activities.
• Obtains measurements, patient history and other intake activities.
• Stocks and maintains the clinic area and supplies.
• Adheres to disinfection and sterilization protocols as required.
