Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Hospital in Baltimore, MD, seeks a pediatrician for a PRN emergency department role. You will provide rapid, expert emergency care to children in a high-acuity academic ED, supported by a strong referral network and collaborative team.

Board certification or eligibility in Pediatrics is required, with Maryland licensure prior to hire. ALS is preferred; 403(b) and other benefits are offered within a nonprofit health system.

• Employed position within a nonprofit health system
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatrics
• Eligible for state medical licensure and DEA registration
• Deliver rapid, expert emergency care to pediatric patients in a high-acuity academic emergency department, applying advanced diagnostic and resuscitation skills to drive optimal outcomes.
• Guide seamless care coordination and admissions by collaborating closely with case management, inpatient pediatric teams, and subspecialists to ensure continuous, high-quality patient journeys.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • Physician MD/DO credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• Preferred Credential(s):
  • Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
