Job summary

Ascension Saint Agnes Orthopedic Surgery in Baltimore, MD seeks a Physician Assistant for a full-time outpatient role covering general orthopedics, spine, and postoperative care. You’ll perform diagnostic and therapeutic interventions and collaborate with a nonprofit health system.

The ideal candidate is NCCPA certified, Maryland-licensed or eligible, with at least 1 year of experience and strong teamwork. CME allowance and tail malpractice coverage are provided.

Qualifications

• Licensure/Certification/Registration: Maryland PA license required or eligible.
• BLS Provider certification within 30 days of hire or transfer.
• Advanced Life Support preferred.
• 1 year of experience in orthopedics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide full-spectrum outpatient orthopedic support across general orthopedics, spine, and postoperative management.
• Perform in-office diagnostic and therapeutic interventions (joint injections, aspirations, splinting/casting, suture/staple removal).

• Perform routine in-office diagnostic and therapeutic interventions (e.g., joint injections, aspirations, splinting/casting, and suture/staple removal) to ensure efficient patient care and optimal recovery outcomes.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.


• Physician Assistant credentialed from the Maryland Board of Physicians obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.


• Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education

• Graduate of accredited Physician Assistant program. Master's degree preferred.

Work Experience

• 1 year of experience preferred.
