Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services in Boston, MA is seeking a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide home and community-based early intervention services for infants and toddlers and their families.

The role emphasizes family-centered, evidence-based practice, collaboration with caregivers, and development of IFSP goals, with a focus on birth-to-three outcomes in home and community settings.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions.
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families is preferred.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.
• Commitment to delivering individualized and culturally humble services.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services and activities grounded in evidence-based practice.
• Coordinate services by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan.
• Partner with families in IFSP development to identify goals and strategies.
