Job summary

Thom Child & Family Services located in Woburn, MA is seeking a Physical Therapist to join our Early Intervention team. The role provides home and community-based services to infants and toddlers birth to three, partnering with families to deliver individualized, evidence-based interventions.

Responsibilities include assessments, IFSP development, parent coaching, and thorough documentation, with a strong emphasis on family priorities, culture, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Physical Therapist by the Massachusetts Board of Registration of Allied Health Professions.
• Experience with infants, toddlers and families is preferred.
• Knowledge of family systems and early childhood development.
• Ability to engage in meaningful, therapeutic relationships with children, parents/caregivers, and community partners.

Responsibilities

• Participate in multidisciplinary team assessments of the client’s developmental status.
• Assess family and child strengths/resources, concerns, and progress.
• Provide child and family centered services and activities developmentally appropriate for children birth to three and their families using parent coaching model.
• Provide service coordination by scheduling, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating the intervention plan for each family, ensuring procedures and timelines are followed.
• Partner with families in IFSP development to identify goals and strategies.
• Facilitate parent-child interactions to encourage development.
