Job summary

MedCare Pediatric Group in Texas is seeking a Home Health Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to deliver one-on-one therapy to children in their homes, daycares, and schools. The role emphasizes compassionate, patient-centered care and collaboration within a multidisciplinary team.

The position offers flexible scheduling (Full-Time, Part-Time, PRN), a sign-on bonus, and support for professional growth across Greater Houston and surrounding areas with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Texas COTA license required by start date.
• Pediatric experience preferred, new graduates welcome.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide occupational therapy services under the direction of a licensed OT per treatment plans.
• Improve strength, mobility, coordination, fine motor skills, and daily living activities.
• Educate families/caregivers on techniques and home programs.
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists and the care team for high-quality care.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.

Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) Qualifications & Responsibilities:

Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program
• Current Texas Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) license by anticipated start date
• One year of pediatric or related experience preferred, but new graduates are encouraged to apply
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus
