The McCarton Foundation is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to support children with developmental disabilities in building essential skills. You will work with a multidisciplinary team including OT, Speech, ABA, and PT to deliver center-based, home, or tele-therapy services.

Responsibilities include direct care for 0-3 year-olds, documenting progress, and guiding paraprofessionals.

Qualifications

• Valid NYS COTA licensure required.
• Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assistant from an accredited program.
• Minimum 2 years of pediatric experience with children, including internships or placements.
• Experience collaborating with paraprofessionals and interdisciplinary teams.

Responsabilités

• Provide direct care to children 0-3 under supervision of an OT, across center-based, home, or tele-therapy settings.
• Support individualized treatment programs to build motor, sensory, and developmental skills.
• Document services using daily logs, progress notes, and IFSP entries.
• Communicate treatment plans and progress with families and caregivers.
• Collaborate with OT, Speech, ABA, PT for integrated child-centered programming.
• Guide paraprofessionals in implementing activities and ensuring quality of care.
