Job summary

MedCare Pediatric is seeking a compassionate Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our pediatric outpatient therapy team. You will work closely with a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide hands-on therapy that helps children develop fine motor skills, sensory integration, and independence.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current Texas COTA license or eligible to obtain licensure by anticipated start date.
• Pediatric OT experience preferred, but new grads are encouraged to apply.
• Experience with developmental delays, ASD, sensory processing challenges, or neurological conditions is a plus.
• Bilingual in Spanish and English preferred.
• Strong communication, organization, and teamwork skills.
• Passion for working with children and supporting families.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized OT interventions under supervision of licensed OT.
• Implement treatment plans to improve fine motor, sensory, coordination, self-care, and independence.
• Help children achieve developmental milestones through engaging activities.
• Complete accurate and timely documentation of sessions and progress.
• Communicate with families regarding goals and progress.
• Collaborate with therapists and pediatric team to ensure high-quality care.
• Maintain a fun, safe, and encouraging clinic environment for children and families.
