St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children is seeking a Certified Nurse Aide to provide direct and indirect patient care under licensed staff supervision.

You will support the care team to ensure high-quality resident care in a pediatric setting, following the care plan and safety guidelines. The role requires a NY CNA certification, a 100-hour CNA training, and BLS certification, with a preference for at least one year of experience in Medical-Surgical or Pediatrics.

Formación

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Completion of a 100-hour Nurses Aide Training Program is required.
• Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) by the State of NY is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.

Responsabilidades

• Ensures quality and safe delivery of resident care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and reports observations and makes recommendations.
• Performs direct and indirect patient care in line with the care plan and completes daily resident assignments efficiently.
• Maintains resident safety and supervises residents while on shift.
• Ensures residents’ appearance, hygiene, and appropriate dress.
• Assists with ADLs to promote independence.
• Documents vital signs, intake/output, heights, weights and other data as directed.
• Reports changes in resident status to the staff nurse or nurse manager.

Educación

Successful completion of 100 hours Nurses Aide Training Program

Certified Nurses Aide by State of NY

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
