Job summary

St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children in New York seeks a Certified Nursing Aide to provide direct and indirect patient care under supervision. The role supports high-quality care by following care plans, participating in interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring resident safety and well-being.

The position requires NY CNA certification, a 100-hour nursing aide program, and BLS. One year of Medical Surgical/Pediatrics experience preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Successful completion of 100 hours Nurses Aide Training Program.
• Certified Nurses Aide by State of NY.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality and safe delivery of resident care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and reports observations/recommendations.
• Assists in direct resident care per care plan and documents vital signs and measurements.
• Maintains clean, organized environment and ensures proper appearance of residents.
• Promotes independence in activities of daily living and ensures safety during shifts.
