Job summary

St. Marys Healthcare System for Children is seeking a Certified Nurses Aide to perform direct and indirect patient care under licensed supervision. The role supports the care plan, documents vitals, and ensures resident safety and well-being.

Requirements include a High School diploma or equivalent, a 100-hour CNA training, NY State CNA certification, and BLS certification. Prior Medical-Surgical/Pediatrics experience is preferred, with a focus on compassionate, age-appropriate care.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or equivalent required.
• Successful completion of 100 hours Nurses Aide Training Program.
• Certified Nurses Aide (CNA) by NY State.

Responsibilities

• Delivers direct and indirect patient care under supervision of licensed staff.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and reports observations.
• Assists in implementing care plans and resident care.
• Maintains safety and order, monitors residents' status and reports changes.
• Documents vital signs and intake/output as directed.
• Promotes independence in activities of daily living.
• Ensures residents' appearance, nutrition and hydration per care plan.
• Escorts residents to appointments when assigned.
