Job summary

St. Mary’s Healthcare System for Children in New York seeks a Certified Nursing Assistant to provide direct and indirect patient care under licensed staff.

The role supports our mission to deliver high-quality pediatric care while complying with regulatory guidelines and achieving certification standards. You will participate in interdisciplinary team meetings, assist with care plans, monitor residents, and help with ADLs, nutrition, and safety.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent is required.
• Successful completion of 100 hours Nurses Aide Training.
• Certified Nurses Aide by NY state.
• BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Ensures quality and safe delivery of resident care.
• Participates in interdisciplinary team meetings and reports observations and makes appropriate recommendations.
• Assists with direct resident care in accordance with the care plan.
• Completes daily resident assignments efficiently.
• Accountable for resident safety throughout shift and for location of resident.
• Maintains neat, clean, and organized environment and promotes independence in ADLs.
