Job summary

CareGivers America in Luzerne County is seeking compassionate caregivers to support children in their homes across Wilkes-Barre and surrounding towns. No experience required; training and Home Health Aide certification provided.

The role involves 1:1 supervision, helping with daily living tasks, supporting IEPs/BIPs, and promoting safe, structured activities. Flexible full-time, part-time, and weekend shifts with paid training and benefits.

Qualifications

• Home Health Aide (HHA) or CNA certificate preferred
• Willingness to work in Luzerne County
• Reliable transportation to travel to clients location

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 supervision and support to children in a safe, in-home setting
• Assist with daily living skills, including hygiene, meals, and routine care as needed
• Implement and support Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and behavior support plans (BIPs)
• Facilitate structured, age-appropriate activities that promote skill development
• Support positive behavior strategies and maintain a consistent, safe environment
• Frequent standing and walking, assisting members with daily activities, bending, reaching, pushing, pulling, and occasional lifting or supporting individuals
