Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin, Dell Medical School with Dell Children’s Medical Center, seeks Advanced Practice Nurses for the night shift in the Texas Center for Pediatric and Congenital Heart Disease. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver world-class pediatric heart care for the regional population.

Required: APN or RN with prescriptive authority in Cardiac Critical Care, pediatric congenital heart disease experience, and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• APN or RN with credentialing in Texas.
• Cardiac pediatric critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Counsels and educates cardiac critical care patients and families.
• Documents care delivery per standards and policies.
• Participates in staff and student orientation/education.
• Obtains patient history and performs assessments.
• Orders and interprets diagnostic studies for cardiac patients.
• Performs health assessments and patient care.
• Provides direct treatment and management of congenital heart conditions.
• Engages in discharge planning.
• Other duties as assigned.
